Libertyville: Where Liberty Dwells, There is My Country

Terry Clothier Thompson, creator of our beautiful block-of-the-month quilt, is a quilt designer and historian. The blocks in this quilt commemorate the centennial years of United States history, years when there was an abundance of cotton fabric. Prints designed to celebrate America's 100th birthday appeared in quilts with patterns that reflected social commentary from women who had not yet voted.

Easy to assemble, the quilt is designed to appeal to both piecers and appliquers alike. The blocks are set on point around the center medallion. The resulting quilt is quite striking. She has also included 17 delightful projects.
