Jingle All The Way 2025 Shop Hop

No more waiting! It's Shop Hop week with your extended hopping hours beginning on Thurdsay and Friday, November 6 & 7 from 9am to 6pm and continuing through Saturday, November 8 from 9am to 4pm.

Be sure to plan your route to enjoy shopping in each of the nine wonderful shops that are part of the twice annual Ad Astra Quilt Shop Hop. Each of the shops will have a fat eighth bundle of holiday fabric for purchase. Lots of projects made from these fabrics will be displayed with lots of variety in each unique shop! Don't forget to get your Passport stamped for a chance to win prizes.

Classes through the Quilt Capital of Kansas

Classes continue for youth from 6th grade through adult and are now open for registration on the Quilters' Paradise website. Additional classes will be posted as they are scheduled, so be sure to check back. All classes will be held at the Lumberyard Arts Center, unless otherwise noted, as part of the Quilt Capital of Kansas partnership. All classes require advance enrollment through the Quilters' Paradise website or by contacting the shop directly. Classes with no enrollments three (3) days prior to class will be cancelled.

Lumberyard Arts Center

Free Open Studio for Textile Arts at the Lumberyard Arts Center from 10am to 3pm on Wednesdays. The studio will be open to anyone wanting to work on quilting/sewing/textile/needlework projects. We've had people spinning fiber, crocheting, embroidering, quilting and more! All welcome! This time offers a great opportunity to finish up UFOs, get answers to questions about patterns, or just come enjoy stitching with friends. Sewing with friends is always more fun!

Happy Birthday, Helen Blanchard! To celebrate Helen Blanchard, we had a lovely afternoon in August learning about zigzag sewing machines. Charles McFall donated a Singer Fashion Mate, Model 237 that includes straight stitch and zigzag functions, as well as Left/Center/Right needle positioning for a special drawing to be held on Blanchard's birthday, October 25. Proceeds from the drawing entries went towards the Lumberyard Arts Center. Our congratulations go out to Janet Anderson-Story who won the machine!
