Youth: Barn Block Workshop with Laura

Youth grades 6-12 may create your own painted barn quilt block that can be hung inside or out with Laura Davids and Angie Spielman. Workshop includes instruction in the painting process.
Materials provided for each participant include:
Primed wood 2'x2' background cut to size
Paint & brushes
Pencils, erasers, tape, yardsticks
Design ideas available or get help figuring out a design you like. The instructor reserves the right to inform participants that a design is too complex for a one-day class.
Class to be held Sat., June 29 from 10am to 3pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center, 718 High Street, Baldwin City
Class fee: free
Limited to 10 individuals
Registration by Friday, June 14 to allow instructor time to prep blocks prior to class.

Instructor Bio: | Laura is our in-house pro at making bags, tuffets, rugs, painted barn blocks, and more. Her teaching style is adaptable to all students, assuring everyone in her classes succeeds. She will be joined by Angie Spielman, our youth class coordinator and teacher. |
