Survival Sewing with Angie. Learn to mend a seam, sew on a button, thread and sew on a sewing machine, and other basic survival sewing techniques.
For youth 6th-12th grades.
Saturday, June 22 from 1-3pm

Summer 2024 Youth Classes are supported by a grant from the Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council.


Quilting and textile art classes are co-sponsored by Quilters' Paradise and the Lumberyard Arts Center as part of the Quilt Capital of Kansas programming.


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: No previous sewing experience needed. Bring an open mind and willingness to learn!
Materials Included: All inclusive--fabric, notions, and use of machines included.
Requirements: Please include attendee/student's name when registering
Instructor: Youth Instructor Team
Instructor Bio: The youth instructor team of Angie Spielman, Ruthie Rodden, and Cheryl Travis, bring energy and fun to the classroom as they introduce the art of sewing to today's youth.
