Dimensional Hand Applique with Sharon
Join Sharon to learn how to make some of the design elements that are later appliqued onto a hand applique sampler block. Dimensional elements that will be taught include stuffed berries, folded rosebuds, pillowslip applique, skinny stems, leaves, and ruching. Bring scraps of fabric, hand sewing needle, thread and scissors. A 2 1/2" x width of fabric strip will work fine for the ruching.
Class will be held at the Lumberyard Arts Center on Wed., June 12 from 1-3pm.
Items to bring:
Variety of fabric scraps including a 2 1/2" x WOF strip
Hand sewing needle and thread
Pencil to trace shapes
Fabric scissors to cut out shapes.
Misc. hand sewing notions: snips, pins, etc.
Quilting and textile art classes are co-sponsored by Quilters' Paradise and the Lumberyard Arts Center as part of the Quilt Capital of Kansas programming.
