Turn your T-Shirts into a Quilt

Whether the t-shirts were saved from school sports, musical theater, vacations, or other activities, you can turn those piles of shirts into t-shirt quilts that are filled with memories and love. In this class you will learn how to cut and stabilize the shirts, choose a layout that suits you, and learn how to assemble the shirts into a wonderful keepsake.

Before class, be sure to wash all shirts WITHOUT fabric softener or dryer sheets. Having clean shirts will help the the entire process. Two options of stabilization will be shared--using Terial Magic liquid stabilizer OR fusible interfacing.

T-shirt quilts can be like-size blocks with sashing in a traditional layout, random block sizes in an alternate layout, or even collaged to use many t-shirts in one project. Lots of ideas will be shared during class so you can chose one that suits your style.

Fabric Requirements:
Quilters' Paradise offers a wide variety of fabrics to make every quilt suit the personality of the maker. Fabric(s) can be chosen after the number of t-shirt blocks is known and a layout is chosen. A trip to Quilters' Paradise will be included in the class once yardage has been calculated.
