Quilting Basics Part 4--Making a Quilt Top
Wrapping up our four-part series, this class will focus on turning your blocks into a finished quilt top. Whether you choose to make several table runners, a throw-size quilt, or add even more blocks for a larger quilt, there are options you need to know about along the way. Discussion will focus on sashing and cornerstone options, alternate layout ideas, and borders. Teacher Liz Granberg-Jerome will provide informative handouts and block patterns in each class to use for reference as she guides you in hands-on instruction. You will make nine blocks by the end of the series, plus optional bonus blocks to create a sampler quilt of up to 12 different blocks. This series includes many tips, tricks, and plenty of time for Q&A. Great class for new quilters or as a refresher for those wishing to hone their skills. Classes will meet in the Lumberyard Arts Center classroom/studio. Class fee: $35 per class
Quilting Basics Part 4: Monday, August 26, 5:30pm to 9pm
The final class will focus on turning your blocks into a complete quilt top ready for quilting, whether it is a series of table runners or all together into a sampler quilt. Bring all blocks and optional bonus blocks to begin your layout. Depending on your choices, a trip to Quilters' Paradise may be included in the day!
Fabric Requirements (for entire series):
