Introduction to Sashiko Needle Art with Sharon
Sashiko is a Japanese needle art that goes back centuries. It is very easy to do and the resulting projects are striking! Our project is a 12” x 12” design that is appropriate for a pillow top, wall hanging, or could be incorporated into something larger. The technique is considered a type of hand quilting. Recent books on Sashiko also show it as a means of decorating and mending blue jeans and other garments.
Class meets Sat., October 26 from 2-5pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center.
Class fee is $25.00
