If you have always admired quilts and wished you could make one, this is the class for you! This series of six classes will teach you the basics to become a quilter. Teacher Liz Granberg-Jerome will provide a general overview of machine quilting with informative handouts to use for reference as she guides you in hands-on instruction of rotary cutting and basic machine piecing. You will made a minimum of six blocks by the end of the series, plus optional bonus blocks to create a sampler quilt of up to 12 different blocks. This series includes many tips, tricks, and plenty of time for Q&A. See below for class topics.
Fabric Requirements:
Quilters' Paradise offers a wide variety of fabrics to make every quilt suit the personality of the maker! Choose your own color combination prior to the first class, please.
To make the 12-block sampler as shown (additional fabric may be required to make bonus blocks):
Color 1 Focus (blue): 1 3/4 yards, includes border as shown
Color 2 Background (cream): 1 yard
Color 3 Compliment (red): 3/4 yard
Color 4 Compliment (optional): 1/2 yard
Color 5 Neutral (sand): 1/2 yard for sashing strips (may be same as background)
