Advanced crochet: Put your crochet skills to the test by choosing a project of your own to focus on. Assistance from instructors Janet Anderson-Story and Becky Fender will ensure your success! Saturdays August 1 & 15 AND September 5 & 19 from 1-3pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center. AGES 12/6th GRADE THROUGH ADULT

Advanced beginner crochet: Learning new skills such as the magic circle and the magic knot, adding and decreasing stitches. Projects include hats of various sizes and weights of yarn or making a summer scarf. Saturdays April 18 and May 2 & 16 & 30 from 1-3pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center. AGES 12/6th GRADE THROUGH ADULT

Beginning Crochet series: Join Becky Fender and Janet Anderson-Story who will guide you in learning and practicing basic crochet stitches, changing yarn colors, and reading patterns to make beginner projects such as a soap holder and granny squares to make a bag. Saturdays, February 7 & 21 and March 7 & 21 from 1pm to 3pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center. AGES 12/6th GRADE THROUGH ADULT

Learn to run the Statler Stitcher longarm machine at Quilters’ Paradise, which will enable you to rent time on the machine to quilt computerized pantographs. With training, you can quilt your own quilts and save some money. This hands-on class is required for you to be trained before renting the machine. Class will be held Saturday, January 10 OR Thursday, January 29 OR Tuesday, February 24 at 10:30am at Quilters' Paradise

Create this stunning quilt using the Two Fabric Bargello pattern, available at Quilters' Paradise. What looks complicated is actually fairly easy. Combine one print with an ombre for an amazing look. Add an optional 3rd fabric accent strip to add just that extra touch to make it yours. Sunday, May 3 from 10am to 4pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center

Learn quilting basics with teacher Liz Granberg-Jerome. This multi-session series will guide you through rotary cutting and stitching an accurate 1/4" seam through making blocks with multiple techniques. By the end of the series, students will have made a minimum of nine blocks and as many as twelve to make a sampler quilt top. Liz will share loads of tips to make your quilting experience fun. This is a great series for new quilters or for those wishing to hone their skills. Session 1: Sunday, January 18 from 1:30 to 4:30pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center

If you've already taken Liz's One Block Wonder or Hexified Panel Quilt class or workshop and need help completing your project, this is the class for you! This drop-in/open studio to work on hexified panel or OBW quilt projects will give you a chance to get Liz's help on your next steps to a finished top. Sunday, June 28 from 10am to 4pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center

Take your One Block Wonder skills and give them a twist with Liz as she guides you through making a Hexified Panel Quilt! Using 7 identical panels, cut six into strips and then into sets of 60 degree triangles, and then build your color-flow of hexagons around the 7th uncut panel. Wall-hanging size panels available from Liz in class. Two-day class on Sunday, May 31 from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, June 21 from 10am to 4pm at the Lumberyard Arts Center

One Block Wonder quilts look complicated, but are actually quite easy to make and each one is completely unique! Six repeats of one fabric are cut into strips and then sets of 60 degree triangles. Despite being a quilt full of hexagons, the assembly has NO Y-seams! Sunday, February 22 from 10am to 4pm in the Lumberyard Arts Center classroom.
