Quilters’ Paradise Class Schedule

We are excited to announce the return to in-person classes for 2021!
We are partnering with the Lumberyard Arts Center in Baldwin City
and thank them for use of their classroom for some classes.

Be sure to check where your class will be held before heading to the shop.

Our teachers:

Liz Granberg-Jerome, a very creative and talented quilter with over 50 years of sewing experience, teaches a wide variety of classes at Quilters' Paradise. A few of her favorites that will be offered again are Beginning Quilting--a series of six technique classes; Fusible Applique; One Block Wonder and Hexified Panel Quilts; and Introduction to Free Motion Quilting.

Laura Davids, a talented quilter and maker, brings a range of different classes that feature making of various bags, tuffets, painted barn blocks, and more!

Sharon Vesecky, Quilters' Paradise owner and experienced quilter, offers classes on hand quilting, as well as various projects based on patterns in the shop.

Cheryl Travis, a talented crafter and quilter who enjoys sharing her passion with others.

Kathleen Thomas, a fabric landscape artist who has taught previously at the Lumberyard Arts Center.

Angie Spielman, a fairly new quilter who is sharing her newfound talents with area youth and adults alike.

Classes

Add star surrounds to your One Block Wonder quilts for a whole new look! OBWs are actually quite easy to make and each one is completely unique. Six repeats of one fabric are cut into strips and then subcut into sets of 60 degree triangles. Add six single triangles a different color around a single hexagon to create spectacular stars to break up and enhance your overall design. Despite being a quilt full of hexagons, the assembly has NO Y-seams! Two-day class to be held Saturdays, December 9 & 16 from 9:30am to 3pm in the Lumberyard Arts Center classroom.

Cost: $ 75.00
